Edinburgh International Conference Centre
The City of Edinburgh Council commissioned BDP to design a new multi-purpose hall and office space extension to their International Conference Centre. As a design team member, we were involved from the outset of the three-year design process to develop the building’s wayfinding strategy and design appropriate signage.
Our brief was to develop a system that unites the original building with the new modern extension, creating one system for both spaces. In keeping with the sensibility of the space, the signage was designed with simplicity and restraint. The contemporary typeface and unambiguous pictograms convey clear wayfinding and safety information.
