New Covent Garden Market

Covent Garden Market has been a vital part of London, supplying food and flowers from its location at Nine Elms for over 40 years. The “New” Covent Garden Market covers 46,500 square metres and provides modern, efficient trading space.

In collaboration with the design team, we identified truck drivers as the key users accessing the site. Through observation, we pinpointed several areas for improvement in wayfinding across the site. This included designing clearer gates and lane guidance to enhance the entrance experience, creating user-friendly vehicular directional signage for low-light conditions, and developing a more logical and recognisable naming system for buildings and key destinations.
